Natural Obrien Wakeboards

“After the debut season on the market, the Natural has already become one of the most innovative decks on the market. The legacy it has created only continues for 2008.” When designing this deck, O’Brien’s engineers sat down and worked the details out with Daniel Watkins. He wanted the wakeboard to have similar features to his last wakeboard, the Player. So O’Brien pushed the limits with the already successful Player to create the Natural. For starters the molded fins were narrowed and/ or shortened to create less drag and let this deck build as much speed as possible. However this did not quite create the speed Daniel was looking for, so the chevron notches were introduced to the bottom of the wakeboard. Used in competition race boats for years, the chevrons help break water off the tail of the wakeboard making it ride higher and faster in the water. This gives you a 3-stage rocker wakeboard that adds many characteristics of a continuous rocker wakeboard, making it nearly compatible with any style of rider. The rails were fully rolled all the way up through and to the cupped rails, making the deck roll onto edge smoother for a more natural feeling. It also made the wakeboard more durable to sliders and kickers. Daniel loved the ultra smooth landings of the Player so we kept the same double concave in the middle of the wakeboard.

3-Stage rocker – large flat spot gives the board huge pop.
DELTA base – board rides faster, releases cleaner.
8 Molded-in fins – excellent tracking and stability.
Cupped rails – super strong edge hold.
Elevated deck and rails – adds strength, reduces weight, gives rider something to grab.
Variable Edge Profile- soft in the middle, sharp at the tip and tail.

Fast board, landings are butter smooth, nuff said – ride this before you buy anything else, you’ll love it.

With Liquid Force not making any notable improvements that I could see in the past couple years I demoed this board and it really opened my eyes to wakeboards. One hit at the wake and I flew uncontrollably high. In adjusting slightly to the new found height to my wakeboarding game with silky landings, tracking and more. The best board I have ridden, hands down.

A warrantied board that rides smooth and has super pop. I even found in choppy conditions that it cut through the water just as I felt a board should. After removing the center fins I really found that feel catering to my style, one of the best boards I have ridden.
