2009 Bi-Level Wakeskate Reviews

March 26th, 2009 · 1 Review · Add a Review

2009 Bi-Level WakeskatesA blend of compression molding and wood core technology truly defines Scotts new wakeskate. Durability was a key factor in the design of the Blend. The top deck is constructed of a sealed wood E-core deck. This means all the feel and snap of a wood deck, sealed off from the elements with glass and a full ABS side wall, no more cracking, warping, or softening over time. The top deck is attached to a compression molded base that has all the features Scott was looking for. Molded channels tip and tail allow for a responsive edge into the wake, and the 3-stage rocker gives plenty of pop once your there. The base deck is finished off with a soft bevel so you dont get hung up on surface tricks.

Features

  • E Core top deck
  • ABS sidewall
  • Composite bushings
  • Grip tape top
  • Compression molded base
  • Layered Glass
  • Limited lifetime Warranty

2009 Legacy Wakeskate Reviews

March 26th, 2009 · No Reviews · Add a Review

2009 Legacy WakeskatesWhen Scott approached Butch about shaping the first wakeskate for his line, he had no idea he would soon have every thing he wanted and more. This revolutionary shape combines dual level engineering with compression molded durability and construction. Butch took every contour of a high end skate deck and replicated it to the tee. Elevated kicktails and a wider deck allow for better response and a bigger foot. Combined with a subtle three stage rocker and narrower channels, the Legacy is built for anything a rider can throw at it.

Features

  • Shaped by Scott Bouchard
  • True Skate Top Concaves
  • Griptape Top
  • Dual Level Construction
  • Textured Paint
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

Urban Gator WakeskatesUrban Gator Wakeskates

Information:
The Urban series has been updated and revamped with new rail lines and concave for 08. This year we also gave the board 19 plys for more weight and strength, up from 17 last year. What makes the Urban Series unique is the Nylon bottom deck. Not only does the nylon bottom make for an extremely durable skate base that protects the wood, but it also makes for a more durable graphic because the design is sublimated to the inside of the clear nylon before it is molded to the board. Nylon base material is commonly used on wakeboards and snowboards and offers exceptional durability, Ideal for sliders, rails and any type of apparatus you would like to slide.

The 2008 Reaper Wakeskate Reviews

The Reaper Gator WakeskatesThe Reaper Gator Wakeskates

Information:
The REAPER is a new Skate in our line for 08. The Reaper just like the curve of his sickle has an aggressive arched rail line with a wide center and narrow tip and tail. This rail line makes for a faster cut into the wake. We made this board with 19 ply’s for more weight and control for all those flip tricks. Add this, with a 3-stage rocker and it makes for a perfect wake oriented skate. A sick little graphic with an all natural wood look, at a great price that cant be beat – this board is going to stand out at any shop but will look much better on your boat.

Pro Model Gator WakeskatesPro Model Gator Wakeskates

Information:
The Pro Model is one of Gatorboards most unique wakeskates to date. The Pro Model was the first ever-wood concave skate to have cnc-machined channels in it for wake-to-wake skating. This year we upgraded the design again and molded similar channels in the board so that the channels would be much more durable. We also used a Nylon base making it more durable for rails and jibbing. The Pro Model will come with clear grip, so if you are feeling artistic you can customize the top before you apply the grip. Have fun!!

2008 Drew McGuckin Wakeskate Reviews

Drew McGuckin Gator Wakeskates

Information:
Drew McGuckin Gator WakeskatesI would say my new board; a 41-inch wood wakeskate by Gatorboards is way better then last years #1 board on the market. That board was the Drew McGuckin 41 from Gatorboards. So if you want the baddest wakeskate on the planet you better go to the store and buy two!! I made last years model a half-inch wider all the way through for better wake to wake stuff, because I hear that wake to wake stuff is what everybody wants to see. Back to my board, I also totally changed the concave throughout the top deck. I brought the side concave all the way to meet the kick of the tail and nose. I also made the tip and tail more blunt to add more top deck to stand on, more surface area if you will. My new board also comes with clear grip tape, my own personal touch. The grip will not come on the deck. That way kids can draw their own graphics for the top or put their favorite stickers on, then put the grip over them. There will be holes for 6 fins. Nose and tail sliding fins and your traditional center fin. The sliding fins come with the board so you get everything in one shot from your local board shop. This board also comes programmed to do all the baddest flip tricks you can stand, all you have to do is go buy one.

2008 Impalla Wakeskate Reviews

Impalla Gator WakeskatesImpalla Gator Wakeskates

Information:
We have come up with a team wakeskate called the Impalla. This baby is compression molded with a PBT base and infinite wrap technology for a long life of hitting sliders. Its super light construction, Hybrid rocker line and its beveled rail makes it easy to ride. The foam top feels like grip tape without all the scraped legs. The Impalla is very forgiving from the elements that wakeskating has to offer. The graphics are always fun with refreshing old school flavor. The reason we named it the Impalla is that the board has that comfortable feel that and old school Impalla would have. So if you want a long lasting easy ride for your wakeskate then you should role out a new Impalla and take a cruise.

Ryan Doyle Gator WakeskatesRyan Doyle Gator Wakeskates

Information:
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Ryan Doyle, one of the industry’s rail masters and a wakeskate coach at the Projects. Ryan’s continuous determination to stick new tricks is masked by his laid back attitude. Always the first to try something new, Ryan knew exactly what he wanted in compression molded wakeskate, a large radius base edge, with small tracking lines parallel to the outer profile of the board. A huge flat spot in the middle helps Ryan to ride on any obstacle. While the advanced composite construction offers a skate that can handle even Ryan’s abuse. (more…)

80D Gator Wakeskates80D Gator Wakeskates

Information:
Derived from our woman team riders Savannah Barber, and Megan McNeil. The 80-D 41 is the lightest wooden concave wakeskate in the line, weighing in at 7 pounds. This boards lightweight 17 ply design has a easier learning curve than heavier boards. While the design of the 80-D’s concave top deck and 3 stage rocker is aggressive enough to bust a multitude of new tricks. This Skate also has sharper cupped rail that makes it more forgiving on edge. The graphic has a unique glow in the dark feature as well. If you are an advocate skate boarder and you want to start wakeskating this the board you want to buy.

2008 Deck Wakeskate Reviews

Deck CWB WakeskatesDeck CWB Wakeskates

Information:
Move over bacon…The Deck was released late last season to rave reviews. A skate that remains in the “bargain” category, however has the features of a higher end skate. We dished out the top deck to ad the true skate deck feel, but instead of creating that top deck out of wood, we molded a piece of high density foam into the shape of a skate deck and attached it to the skate so to give the true feel of a skateboard. The great feature is you have the feel of foam when you meet it face to face on a fall. (more…)

The entry level addition to our wakeskate brand. We built the Base for the skater or family that wants to give the sport a shot, and not break the bank. SST Liquid Force WakeskatesSST Liquid Force Wakeskates

Information:
If you’re a fan of wakeskating, you know we’ve spent more time perfecting this design than pretty much any other product we’ve ever built. When it was first released mid summer, 2007, it quickly became the most talked about skate in the market… true skaters finally had what they’d been looking for in a skate. Created by Silas Thurman and our design team, this deck incorporates several firsts. It’s the first dual level deck to utilize a compression molded top and a wood bottom. This was done to ensure durability, as well as the skate feel. Most importantly, this deck has serious spring in its pop! The design has been ridden hard by Silas, Aaron Reed, and several of our skaters. They’ve all come back to us stoked… Aaron likes the way the board pops to his feet when he’s doing 3 Shuvs across the wake and Silas is stoked with the ability to simply snap ollies and tech tricks more explosively. If you’re ready for the next generation of wakeskates that is engineered to take your riding to the next level, the SST is it. (more…)
